Description: EGW Springfield Prodigy 5″ Enhanced Recoil Spring / Tungsten Guide Rod Kit. This recoil spring/guide rod kit from EGW is designed for the Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy model pistol that utilizes a 5″ barrel. This kit features a heavyweight Tungsten guide rod which increases stability, reduces muzzle flip, and improves accuracy. This drop-in kit features a takedown hole that allows for quick and easy assembly/disassembly. The head of the guide rod has smooth beveled edges to make for a seamless look. This kit uses a .332″ diameter guide rod, round wire ISMI spring, and EGW’s fully machined reverse plug.
