Description
The Colt 1911 chambered in .38 Super is a limited-production commemorative pistol produced in collaboration between Colt and Davidson’s to honor the Texas Rangers. Only 250 units were made. The pistol features a high-polish finish and detailed engraving with gold accents highlighting Texas Ranger motifs and historical themes. The design is based on the classic Colt 1911 platform and configured for the .38 Super cartridge, a caliber historically associated with Texas law enforcement during the transition from revolvers to semi-automatic sidearms.
Distinctive aesthetic elements include stag grips fitted with Texas Ranger medallions and a jeweled trigger that complements the polished surfaces. The engraving work extends across the slide and frame, integrating symbolic imagery relevant to the Texas Rangers. The firearm is in new condition and has not been previously owned or fired. Overall presentation reflects the commemorative nature of the production run and its focus on historical recognition.
Included with the pistol are one nine-round magazine and a certificate of authenticity verifying its place in the 250-unit series. The combination of limited serial numbering, specialized grips, and engraved detailing distinguishes this Colt 1911 as part of a specific commemorative collaboration recognizing the Texas Rangers.
